Nature is our biggest ally & our Greatest inspiration
-David Attenborough
The Avestan word Spenta means beneficent or benefitting others.
Spenta Foundation is dedicated to the conservation and restoration of forest ecosystems, with a primary focus on protecting elephant habitats and their green corridors. Our work is structured around three core pillars:

Mitigating human-wildlife conflict:
-
We prioritize the safety of both humans and animals, working to reduce conflict in forest-border villages.
-
Our squads patrol with forest officials 365 days & extensively during the harvesting season, to ensure safe elephant passage and mitigate potential risks.
-
We train local villagers on effective, non-harmful methods to protect their crops and property.
Restoring forest ecosystems:
-
We rehabilitate degraded lands by planting native trees, fruit trees, and grass species to restore natural biodiversity.
-
This work creates crucial new food sources and strengthens the forest's ecosystem, particularly within elephant corridors.
-
We protect vital forest wetlands, which are essential for forest health and the survival of diverse wildlife.
Promoting community engagement and wildlife protection:
-
Our teams provide local employment for conservation and restoration activities.
-
We actively assist forest officials with the rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured wildlife.
-
Through training sessions for adults, youth, students, and other community groups, we raise awareness about the importance of conservation and peaceful human-wildlife coexistence.
-
We protect forests from illegal logging and exploitation by the timber mafia.
